American mezzo-soprano, Callie Denbigh, graduated with a Master of Music degree in vocal performance from Manhattan School of Music in New York City and a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

Callie was a 2014/15 OperaWorks artist at English National Opera, a 2016-2018 Da Camera of Houston Young Artist and is a member of the Houston Grand Opera Chorus. Her performance experience has spanned the United States and Europe. Alongside a busy concert calendar, she has sung in productions with Opera Danube (UK), Longborough Festival Opera (UK), Opera Project (UK), Co-Opera Co (UK), the Amalfi Coast Music Festival, Centro Studi Lirica and the American Institute of Musical Studies in  Graz, Austria. Her roles have included Octavian, Annio, Ruggiero and Second Lady in scenes with English National Opera’s Opera Works; Dido in Dido and Aeneas with Thrapston Plaza Opera, Angelina (cover) in Cenerentola with Woodhouse Opera Festival; Fox in The Cunning Little Vixen with Co-Opera Co; Venus (role study) in Orpheus in the Underworld with Opera Danube; Mercedes in Carmen; the Witch in Into the Woods; Constance Partlett in The Sorcerer; Sally in A Hand of Bridge and in scenes as Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro; Zerlina in Don Giovanni and Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte.

A native of Houston, Texas, she began her operatic training with a scholarship position in the Houston Grand Opera High School Voice Studio. Through this program she had the opportunity to work with highly regarded professionals and to participate in masterclasses with world-class performers, amongst whom were Joyce DiDonato, Katherine Ciesinski and Ana Maria Martinez.

Whilst at the Manhattan School of Music, Callie was a featured artist in the American Musical Theater Ensemble, the Baroque Opera Ensemble, the French Vocal Chamber Music Ensemble, the Dona Vaughn Opera Workshop and the Muraco/Vaughn Opera Seminar.
